Diana M. Fennell is a Democratic politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 47A. First elected in 2014, she assumed office on January 14, 2015. Fennell's extensive career in public service began at the local level in Colmar Manor, where she served on the town council from 1995 to 2000. Subsequently, she was elected mayor, a position she held for a decade from 2000 to 2010. Before her tenure in the state legislature, her professional background included roles as an office manager and as a Community Advisory Coordinator for the Prince George's County Fire and Emergency Services Department. She is a graduate of Greensville County High School and attended the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance at the University of Maryland.
