Douglas Coleman is a former Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives for District 16, serving from 2013 to 2019. Before his state-level political career, he served on the Apache Junction City Council starting in 1991 and was the mayor of Apache Junction from 1995 to 2007. Coleman was a business teacher at Apache Junction High School for over 30 years. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business, Office, and Distributive Education from Arizona State University in 1981 and a Master's degree in Vocational Education from Northern Arizona University in 1989. He and his wife, Roxanne, have six children.
