Edward Shuford

Edward "Eddie" Shuford represents the Pleasant Gardens District on the McDowell Board of Education. He and his wife, Rebecca, have resided in the Pleasant Gardens community for nearly 30 years. They have four adult children who attended Pleasant Gardens Elementary. Shuford earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Western Carolina University. He has worked in the North Carolina community college system for almost 16 years, including nearly five years as an HRD instructor at Mayland Community College and over 11 years at McDowell Technical Community College, where he currently serves as the Director of Industry Engagement.
