He returned to the Mayodan Town Council in 2021. His public service includes being elected to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina League of Municipalities in 2009, re-elected in 2024, and appointed to its Executive Committee in 2025. He is a past President of the Madison-Mayodan Jaycees and a past District Director of the North Carolina Jaycees.
