Ellen Hubbard Archibald was elected to her third four-year term in November 2021. She was previously elected to the town council in 2009, during which time she served as mayor pro tem. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Wilkesboro and serves on the Board of Directors for the NCLM, representing the 10th district, and the Wilkes YMCA Board of Directors. She is married to Jim Archibald, and they have two children.
