Eugene Green is the incumbent City Councilmember for District D, having assumed office in January 2022. He is a graduate of St. Augustine High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University in 1980, followed by an MBA from Tulane University. Prior to his role on the City Council, Green had a long career in business and public service, including founding Nationwide Real Estate Corporation and serving as Executive Assistant for economic development in the Mayor's Office. He has served on numerous boards, including the New Orleans City Planning Commission and as Chairman of the Board of the New Orleans Council on Aging.
