Frank Reaves, Jr. is the current mayor of Culpeper, having served since January 2022. He is the first African-American to be elected mayor in the town's history. Prior to becoming mayor, he was first elected to the Culpeper Town Council in 2010. Born and raised in Culpeper, Reaves graduated from Culpeper County High School, attended Germanna Community College, and is a graduate of the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy. Before his political career, he worked as a certified private investigator.
