Gina-Louise C Sciarra

Gina-Louise Sciarra is the 45th Mayor of Northampton, elected in November 2021. Before becoming mayor, she served on the Northampton City Council for eight years, including terms as City Council Vice President and President. Her professional background includes roles at the ACLU's Reproductive Freedom Project, as the Major Gifts Officer for the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters, and as the Capital Campaign Manager for the restoration of the historic First Churches of Northampton. She was also the communications manager for Pathlight, an organization providing services for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Sciarra is a graduate of Smith College and earned a master of philosophy in sociology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She lives in Northampton with her husband and their two daughters.
