Seabolt retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol in 2013 after a 30-year career, spending the last 18 years in Randolph County. During his time as a Trooper, he served as a field training officer and a precision and defensive driving instructor. He was first elected as Randolph County Sheriff in 2018. He and his wife, Candace, have two children.
