Heidi Henkel, a Colorado native, is a candidate for Representative in the General Assembly, District 33. She earned degrees from Niwot High School and Colorado State University. Her career includes experience as a nonprofit executive director, high school teacher, and communications director. Elected to Broomfield's Ward 5 City Council in 2019, she champions affordability, safety, fiscal responsibility, local businesses, and environmental sustainability. A progressive and fierce advocate for affordable housing, she seeks to continue serving her community by listening and representing their needs. She is married to Scott and they have two children, Connor and Emee.
