Henry Lewis Balkcom IV is seeking re-election as Superior Court Judge in Georgia's Pataula Judicial Circuit. A sixth-generation Quitman Countian, Balkcom graduated valedictorian from Lakeside School in 1989 and earned a civil engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 1994. After working in commercial construction, he attended Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, graduating in the top of his class. He practiced construction law in Atlanta from 2000 to 2007 before moving his practice to Georgetown. Balkcom served as Probate Judge from 2012 until March 2018 when he resigned to run for Superior Court Judge. He is married to Claudia Powell Dixon and they have five children.
