Jamal Osman is a candidate for Minneapolis City Council Ward 6 in Minneapolis, Minnesota — 2025 General Election. Running as Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.

Jamal Osman is the incumbent City Council member for Ward 6, first elected in a special election in August 2020. Born in Somalia, he was a refugee in Kenya before coming to the United States at age 14. Prior to his election, Osman worked as a social services worker and a resident advocate for CommonBond Communities, helping residents with education, employment, and housing. He has also served on the board of the Phillips Community Clinic. He and his wife, Ilo, live in the Phillips West neighborhood with their five children.
