James White was born in LaGrange and raised in Newnan and Southside Atlanta. After being incarcerated at age 17, he rebuilt his life, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Benedict College and earning a law degree from The Ohio State University. He made history as the first formerly incarcerated person in America to become a prosecutor, working for the Fulton County Solicitor General's office.
