Jamilla Pinder is a Greensboro native and a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in agribusiness and food industry management. She has worked at Cone Health for 28 years, where she is currently the Director of Community Engagement & Impact at the Cone Health Foundation, focusing on eliminating health inequities. Pinder has extensive community service experience, having served on nearly two dozen city boards and commissions, including the Greensboro Transit Advisory Council and the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro. She was appointed to the City Council in January 2025 to fill the seat of the late Yvonne Johnson.
