Jennifer M. Stepp is a lifelong resident of Gastonia and has served on the City Council since 2017. She is a 1982 graduate of Hunter Huss High School and earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Gardner Webb University in 1986. Her career includes working as a teacher in Gaston County Schools and Gaston Christian School, summer program coordinator, and minister of music. She has been involved in numerous community organizations, including serving as a mentor for Village 127 and on the Gaston-Lincoln-Cleveland Continuum of Care Planning Board. She is married with five children.
