John Franklin Sossamon

John Franklin "Frank" Sossamon is a former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 32 from January 2023 to January 2025. He has an extensive background as a pastor, serving for over four decades, including 36 years at the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church before retiring in 2021. He also works with his son in their funeral home business. Sossamon has a long history of community involvement, including founding the chaplain program at Maria Parham Hospital, serving as chaplain for the Vance County Sheriff's Department, and being active with local Crime Stoppers organizations. His education includes a bachelor's degree in Biblical studies from East Coast Bible College and master's degrees from Southwestern Christian University and Houston Graduate School of Theology.
