Dr. Joseph Thornton is a physician, partially retired psychiatrist, and educator running for Florida House of Representatives District 10 representing the American Solidarity Party. With a career focused on serving vulnerable populations, including veterans and incarcerated people, he has held leadership roles such as Associate Chief of Staff for Mental Health at the North Florida VA. A long-time resident of the Gainesville area, he also founded the Alachua Area Medical Reserve Corps.
