Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson is a water and environmental advocate and small-business owner from Fort White, Florida. She co-owns Rum 138, a canoe and kayak outfitter, art gallery and cafe near the Santa Fe River. For more than 20 years she has worked to protect North Florida's Santa Fe and Ichetucknee rivers, springs and aquifer. She is a founding member of Our Santa Fe River (2007–2024), Floridians Against Fracking and the Florida Springs Council; president of Save Our Suwannee; an executive committee member of the Suwannee–St. Johns Sierra Club; and the first Floridian on record to publicly oppose the Sabal Trail gas pipeline.
