Karen Simpson

Karen Simpson is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 3 in Frederick County since assuming office on January 11, 2023. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Radford University and a Master of Arts in community counseling from Towson University. Before entering the legislature, Simpson built a career dedicated to public service. Her professional experience includes working for Child Protective Services, where she supported vulnerable children and families. She also served as the education and training manager for the Maryland State Retirement Agency. In the House of Delegates, Simpson serves on the Judiciary Committee, contributing to legislation concerning the state's legal and criminal justice systems.
