Kat Johnston

Kat Johnston has a career in education that includes roles as a first-grade teacher, a policymaker at the state level, and a nonprofit leader supporting educators. She is a parent of three children, two of whom are in Somerville public schools. Johnston has been an active community member, serving as a PTA member, a School Site Council member, a classroom volunteer, and a soccer coach. She has been involved in advocating for school improvements, such as the Kennedy School's playground renovation.
