Kathleen Thrun, also known as Kathy Nason, is a 50-year resident of Quincy and a community activist. She was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. She attended Boston University for her undergraduate degree in chemistry, received a graduate certificate in business from Harvard, and an engineering master's from Tufts University. Her professional career has spanned cancer research, environmental science, and disaster recovery, including work on the destruction of chemical weapons. This is her first time running for public office.
