Kenneth Brungardt

Kenneth Brungardt is a Democratic candidate for U.S. House in Idaho's 1st Congressional District, running in 2026 to defeat incumbent Russ Fulcher. A retired painting contractor married for 53 years with two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson, he aims to "bring Idaho back to the middle" by focusing on common issues like affordability and stability. Brungardt advocates for working families, strong labor unions, Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, and affordable healthcare, pledging to protect Social Security and Medicare. He also supports a fair tax code for small businesses and the middle class, and believes tariffs should be a last resort. He champions civil rights, justice, and democracy for all Idahoans.
