Kenneth Contreras graduated from high school in 1980. His career includes working for the Pinal County Highway Department and the Department of Corrections as an investigator. In 1989, he was hired by the Arizona Department of Public Safety as a highway patrolman, where he served until his retirement in 2009. Following his retirement, he worked as a bailiff for the Pinal County Superior Court for over two years. In 2014, Contreras ran for Justice of the Peace in Pinal County as a Democrat, running unopposed in the primary but was defeated in the general election. He has filed a statement of interest to run for Constable in District 3 as a Republican for the 2026 election.
