Larry J Parrish

Larry J. "Butch" Parrish is an incumbent Republican State House Representative for Georgia's 158th District, serving since 1985. A lifelong resident of Swainsboro, he earned a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia and works as a pharmacist and businessman, owning Parrish Properties. He previously served on the Swainsboro City Council. In the House, he chairs the Rules Committee and Special Committee on Healthcare, and is a member of Appropriations and Health & Human Services, among others, demonstrating a focus on health policy and state finance. He has been recognized as Legislator of the Year by several health associations. He is married to Carol Parrish, and they have two children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
