M'Bechi Tyree Davis

M'Bechi Tyree Davis began his law enforcement career in 2003 with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, where he rose through the ranks to become a sergeant in criminal investigations. In 2015, he was hired as the captain of the Enfield Police Department and was later appointed chief of police. In December 2020, he was appointed the Town Manager for the Town of Enfield. He is now the incumbent Sheriff of Halifax County. Davis holds a master's degree in public administration from Capella University, a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University, and a diploma in computer technology from ECPI College of Technology. He is also certified in city and county management from the UNC School of Government and has an advanced law enforcement certification from both criminal justice and sheriff's training and standards.
