Marc McGovern is a fifth-generation Cambridge resident serving his sixth term on the City Council and second term as Vice Mayor. He previously served one term as Mayor (2018-2020) and four terms on the Cambridge School Committee. McGovern earned a BA from UMass Boston and a LCSW from Simmons Graduate School of Social Work. For 30 years, he has worked as a social worker with children and families.
