Marcus Gadson

Marcus Gadson is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill, where he teaches courses on Civil Procedure and State and North Carolina Constitutional Law. He is considered a leading authority on state constitutions and has authored a book titled 'Sedition: How America's Constitutional Order Emerged From Violent Crisis'. Gadson graduated from Harvard Law School and previously practiced at Steptoe and Johnson in Washington D.C. He also served as a law clerk for Bernice Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His community involvement includes serving as a member of the N.C. Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and as a secretary in the Raleigh-Apex NAACP branch.
