Mariam DeMello is a candidate for Minneapolis City Council Ward 11 in Minneapolis, Minnesota — 2025 General Election. Running as Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL).

Mariam DeMello is a lifelong Minneapolis resident. She attended Hale, Field, and Southwest High School before earning degrees from Hamline University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Her career in public service includes roles with the Ramsey County Attorney's office, the Minneapolis City Attorney's office, and former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. For the past five years, she has worked for Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter and serves as a member of the Minneapolis Charter Commission.
