Maritza Higuera

Maritza Higuera is a mom, lifelong educator of 21 years, author, and community leader residing in Río Rico, Southern Arizona. She began her journey working at McDonald's while learning English. Running as a Democrat for the Arizona House of Representatives District 21, she is committed to fully funding public schools, supporting teachers, and expanding early learning. Her priorities also include lowering housing costs, expanding access to affordable homes, and supporting first-time homebuyers. Higuera is fighting for quality schools, safe communities, and opportunities for all Arizona families, aiming to empower their voice and build a future rooted in service.
