Mark Eadie was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1987 and retired in 2011 at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant, having served in operations Desert Shield/Storm, Allied Force, and Iraqi Freedom. After his military career, he worked at MCAS Cherry Point and MCB Camp Lejeune. He and his family moved to Newport in 1997. He was elected to the Town Council in 2013 and has served as Mayor Pro Tem since 2023. He is a member of the Newport Rotary Club and has been active in local youth sports organizations.
