Marvina Haynes is a civil rights activist and the founder of MN Wrongfully Convicted Judicial Reform (MNWCJR). Her advocacy was spurred by the wrongful conviction of her brother, Marvin Haynes, who was exonerated after nearly 20 years in prison. Born and raised in Minneapolis, she has previously worked for Minneapolis Public Schools and as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She ran for the Ward 4 seat in 2023 and finished second.
