Matthew Crisafulli, a Republican, serves as the Sheriff of Worcester County, Maryland, a position he has held since December 4, 2018. His law enforcement career began in the Pocomoke City Police Department from 1996 to 1999. He later joined the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, where he served as a Sergeant from 2011 until his election as Sheriff. Crisafulli is also a member of the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council for Worcester County. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in criminal justice from Anne Arundel Community College. He was re-elected to the office in the general election on November 8, 2022.
