Michael "Mike" Lukas

Michael "Mike" Lukas is a non-partisan candidate for the Maryland Board of Education, Commissioner District 4. A retired electrical engineer, he dedicated 38 years to the U.S. Navy before focusing on local education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, with graduate studies at George Mason University and the Naval Postgraduate School. As an experienced school board member, Lukas advocates for equal opportunities for all children, high academic standards, and fiscal accountability. He strongly supports the Blueprint for Maryland's Future to improve state education.
