Michele Guyton serves as a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 42B since her election on January 9, 2019. Before joining the legislature, she was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to the Maryland State Board of Education, where she served from 2015 to 2019. Guyton is a developmental psychologist and a committed advocate for individuals with disabilities. Her professional background includes work at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She also co-founded a support group for families with disabilities that evolved into the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Tourette Association of America. Guyton earned a Ph.D. in developmental and social psychology from Brandeis University.
