Nate Blouin, born in 1989, is a progressive Democrat and climate policy advocate currently serving Utah's 13th Senate District since 2023. An alumnus of Salt Lake Community College, the University of Utah, and Brown University, he previously worked with clean energy organizations. Blouin is seeking the Democratic nomination for Utah's 1st congressional district in the 2026 U.S. House elections, campaigning to reform Congress and strengthen the Democratic Party. In April 2026, his campaign addressed controversy over past derogatory online comments he made, for which he apologized, describing them as "vulgar, stupid" and reflecting a younger version of himself. He is on the ballot for the June 23, 2026 primary.
