Nico Parra is a 20-year-old (as of 2024 DNC delegation) voting rights advocate and community organizer from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The proud son of Colombian immigrants, he became Georgia's youngest Latino delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Parra began his civic engagement as a poll worker at age 16 and later became a Gwinnett County poll manager. He is challenging incumbent Dewey McClain in the Democratic primary for State House District 109, campaigning on issues of affordability and accessibility. Parra has also pledged support for congressional term limits. His campaign highlights his role as a representative of a new generation of Latino political leadership in the state.
