Nina Thomas has been a resident of Salisbury for six years. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, she has over 25 years of professional experience in ophthalmology and currently works at Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in Salisbury. She holds a bachelor's degree in theology from Zoe Fellowship Bible College and is pursuing a master's in Christian counseling. Thomas is the president of the African American Caucus in Rowan County and a graduate of the Salisbury Citizen Academy. She is also an advocate against gun violence, motivated by the tragic loss of her son.
