Omar Fateh is a member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 62. He is the first Somali American and Muslim to serve in the Minnesota Senate. Born in Washington D.C., he is the son of Somali immigrants and currently a renter in Minneapolis. Before his political career, he was a long-time advocate for working people.
