Patrick Kavey is a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, having been born and raised in the city. He is a graduate of Taconic High School's Academy of Business Management and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Westfield State University. Before entering politics, he worked as a store manager for Ben & Jerry's, where he was named Manager of the Year, an international honor. He also has experience in communications and real estate. Kavey was first elected to the City Council at age 26, making him one of the youngest people ever elected to office in Pittsfield's history.
