Paul Berry III is a Republican small-business owner, bail bondsman and business consultant from Northwest St. Louis County, Missouri. He first entered electoral politics in 2012 as a Democrat for a Maryland Heights-based Missouri House seat and switched to the Republican Party in 2014. He has since run repeatedly for office, including Missouri House District 72 (2014), Missouri's 1st Congressional District (2016), St. Louis County Executive (2018 and 2020), Missouri's 2nd Congressional District (2022) and Missouri Lieutenant Governor (2024), before winning the 2026 Republican nomination for Missouri's 1st Congressional District.
