Philip R. Ottaviani, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Framingham, a local businessman, and a community activist. He attended Framingham Public Schools, Marian High School, Boston College, and the Southern New England School of Law. His extensive history of public service includes 25 years as a Town Meeting Member, nearly 20 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals (including as chair), and membership on the Framingham Economic Revitalization Task Force and the Community Development Block Grant Committee. He has been a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America Local Union 609 since 1981. He was first elected as the District 6 City Councilor and was subsequently elected by his peers to serve as the City Council Chair in January 2022.
