She has a master's degree in public health from Emory University and has worked as a community health organizer in the United States and Latin America. Maiore has also been involved in progressive advocacy, including directing the Pioneer Valley Women's March and working as a trainer for MoveOn. During her time on the council, she has chaired the Finance Committee.
