Randy Laird is a Democratic candidate and current member of the Board of County Commissioners in Somerset County, Maryland, representing District 5. Since taking office in 2010, Laird has served previously as board president and currently as vice-president. Born in Crisfield, he attended local schools and served in the U.S. Army and Coast Guard Reserves. Laird brings diverse experience as a retired Cable TV line technician and a current poultry farmer. Deeply committed to his community, he is an active volunteer with the Crisfield Fire Department and serves on multiple local health and regional planning boards.
