Rexanna Lowman

Rexanna Lowman has lived in Valdese for most of her life. She earned a degree in education from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her 37-year career in education included roles as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at various schools, including her alma mater, East Burke High School. She was the first woman to be a high school principal in Burke County. After retiring from Burke County Schools in 2018, she now works as a Supervisor for Student Teachers from Appalachian State University.
