Rick Scarbrough is an incumbent Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 33, based in Anderson County. Born in 1965, he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tusculum University. Prior to his political career, Scarbrough served 29 years in law enforcement, including 16 years as Chief of Police for the Clinton Police Department. He was first elected to the House in 2024, assuming office in January 2025. In the legislature, he has introduced legislation to increase offenses chargeable under racketeering and has stated his opposition to universal school vouchers. He is currently a candidate for re-election in the 2026 Tennessee Primary Election.
