Robert "Robb" English has been a resident of Hillsborough since 1998. He was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2019 and elected to a full term in 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation and a master's degree in recreation administration from Florida State University. For over two decades, he has worked for the Town of Chapel Hill as a recreation supervisor. English is the first Asian-American to serve on the Hillsborough Town Board. He and his wife have two adult daughters.
