Royce Mann is a 23-year-old community organizer, activist, and a proud alumnus of Atlanta Public Schools (Grady/Midtown High School). He recently graduated from Emory University as a Woodruff-MLK Jr. Scholar with a degree in Political Science. Mann gained national attention in 2016 for his viral slam poem "White Boy Privilege." He has been deeply involved in activism, including helping lead the "March For Our Lives" anti-gun violence demonstration in Atlanta and serving as a grand marshal at the Atlanta Pride Parade. He previously ran for a different school board seat in 2021. His late grandmother was involved in the creation of the U.S. Department of Education.
