Russell B. Knox, Jr. is a candidate for Town of Davidson Mayor in Davidson, North Carolina — 2025 General Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Russell "Rusty" Knox, Jr. is a Davidson native and the incumbent mayor, first elected in 2017. He is the son of former Davidson mayor, Russell Knox, who served from 1985 to 1995. He graduated from Pfeiffer College with a B.A. in Health and Parks and Recreation. Knox has been a real estate agent since 1994 and is also a performing singer/songwriter. His nonprofit work includes involvement with organizations such as the Joe Martin ALS Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Davidson Farmers Market. He is married with five children and multiple grandchildren.
