Scott Elliott is a native of Pinal County, having grown up in the Casa Grande area. After graduating from Casa Grande Union High School, he studied Criminal Justice at Central Arizona College. In 1991, he began a 25-year career with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, retiring with the rank of lieutenant. During his tenure, he served as a commander for various units, including the Patrol Support Division, SWAT, Search and Rescue, and the Aviation Unit, for which he was the chief pilot. He is a member of the Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge.
