Sean Mayefskie was elected Mayor of Holly Springs in 2021. A resident since 1999, he is a successful entrepreneur who founded and grew GMA Supply before selling it in 2019. His business background has influenced his focus on fiscal responsibility, which helped the town earn a AAA credit rating. He and his wife, Patricia, have three children who attended local public schools. In 2022, he founded an Entrepreneurs Club at Holly Springs High School. He was also nominated as the Wake County Mayors Association President for 2024-2025.
